Nintendo Just Brought Back The NES!!!

NESClassicEdition_photo_01__png_jpgcopy.0.0Nintendo is one of those companies that is synonymous with gaming and their latest announcement lends us to think that the company is on its way to regaining its mojo. Nintendo is bringing back the legendary NES.

It’s not re-launching the same console, however, it is producing a mini replica of the console everyone loves. The mini-NES dubbed as the NES Classic, will set you back $59.99 and come preloaded with the 30 of its most iconic games.

Players will be able to buy an additional controller, which will, of course, be a replica of the original classic, and be able to play another player. The additional controller will also be just $9.99. Nintendo recognizes that it holds a special place among gamers and this release is nothing more than fan service.

Gamers can finally throw out their bulky NES (or let it rest where it may) and just pop out the NES Classic the next time they want a taste of some retro gaming! The console will connect to televisions via an HDMI cable, however, will stay true to its classic spirit and not include other features like online play or even link to players existing Nintendo account.

Nintendo is also gearing up to release it next generation console, the NX, in March and is timing this mini release perfectly before the holidays to drum up some excitement in the heart of its fanbase.

The NES Classic is expected to launch on November 11th in the United Stated and the United Kingdom. There is no word yet on a number of units that will be available or when other countries can get their hands on one.
